Accommodations Overview
The Amazonat reserve is situated in a privileged location in or near many unspoiled ecosystems that are rich in flora and fauna. To the south are the Amazon and Preto da Eva Rivers and to the north the Urubú River. Within the reserve we have over 5000 hectares (12,355 acres) of virgin primary forest and about 800 hectares (2000 acres) of secondary forest. In order to give our guests the opportunity to live the Amazon fullly, we have accommodations in several locations so guests can enjoy a variety of experiences surrounded by different ecosystems.
Our base camp, Amazonat Jungle Lodge, is situated in a clearing of a terra firme secondary forest with many facilities our guests can enjoy; Jane’s Place, our jungle survival camp, is in the primary forest, allowing deeper jungle exploration for the more adventurous; and our soon to be opened Amazonat River Lodge will offer spacious accommodations in an idyllic riverside location. Visitors can stay at one or more of our locations and choose a package to suit their interests and length of stay. We are also happy to design a customized package with our guests to suit individual interests.
All constructions in Amazonat are built with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) “smartwood” label. We are the only lodge in Brazil that is fully registered with the FSC.
